About me

My name is Gabriel Detosil, a passionate audio creative specialising in recording, live sound, audio post-production, and musical composition. Driven by curiosity and a commitment to excellence, I aim to bring authenticity and emotion to every project.

I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Audio at SAE Sydney, maintaining a high GPA of 6.67. Alongside my studies, I’ve gained hands-on industry experience, including working with internationally touring punk band CH!X on their four-song debut EP and the release of their single “Song of the Year” (2026).

These sessions involved extensive use of vintage analog outboard gear—such as the Neve 33609, JLM LA500A Opto Compressor, and ELX8 Distressors, strengthening both my technical skill set and creative problem-solving abilities.

I thrive in collaborative environments and am particularly drawn to audiovisual storytelling, where sound plays a crucial role in shaping emotion and narrative. My creative influences include The Beatles, Radiohead, and Twenty One Pilots, artists known for blending innovation with emotional depth.

Through my personal YouTube channel, I explore themes of nostalgia and passion, elements that strongly inform my creative identity and the atmosphere I strive to deliver in every project.

I am open to opportunities across all areas of audio, from music production to film and media, and value connecting with like-minded creatives. I value collaboration, experimentation, and thoughtful craftsmanship, and I’m driven to create expressive, meaningful work that resonates with audiences.
